When faced with legal problems you lose your head …
... and would rather wave the white flag?
Even before ACTA and the Pirate Party had brought it up, every Internet user was aware of the fact that legal aspects of Internet usage were not that simple. Insecurity has been growing about what I am allowed and not allowed to do. And vice versa: what are others allowed to do, for instance, with the content I uploaded? However, considering the cost factor not all the questions seem to be of such importance that one seeks expensive legal advice with a lawyer. Yet, the insecurity remains.
Maybe you do not know when you are obliged to provide company information on your website and what this information includes in order to be legally flawless. You might have already received a warning letter and do not understand the reasons for it and would like first to be informed better before engaging a lawyer.
You want to upload pictures which you shoot while visiting an exhibition in your private blog, but you are not sure whether you need to obtain a prior permission for that from the persons pictured. Besides, you administer a forum. One of its registered users regularly insults other users and you do not know whether you must and/or can do something against it.
One of your employees is very active on Facebook and shares not exclusively private information with his/her friends – and on top of that he does so during working hours!
Maybe you are opening an agency and have found a perfect name for it – unfortunately, this name is already assigned as a domain name and you wonder what you can do in this situation.
