Thesis & Supervision

The core of our PhD programe is undertaking (supervised) independent research on the basis of a dissertation which must be an original piece of work that makes a signficant contribution to knowledge in the chosen field of study.

Our Phd students are supervised by two professors in order to guarantee the highest possible degree of expertise and guidance. Besides the training in legal research and writing offered in the course of our study program, the supervisors provide support on the development of the structure and content of the students' theses too. They help to plan the research projects and to manage them effectively in order to gurantee their conclusion on time.

Supervision is available from all professors of the university's faculty of law wherefore expertise is guaranteed for the full range of legal (and law-related) research. This ensures the production of high class research findings under the framework of of the Albrecht Mendelssohn Bartholdy Graduate School of Law.
