NAIL Research Seminar #21

Professor Christoph Kumpan and Professor Georg Ringe would like to invite you to the NAIL Research Seminar #21 on Monday, 2 June 2025, starting at 18h00 (CEST), with Prof. Felix Steffek (University of Cambridge), who will give a presentation titled "Legal AI: Predicting Court Decisions, Extracting Legal Information and Large Legal Datasets".
The lecture will be followed by a discussion on the topic. The event will be held in English and will take place in person in Room AT223 at the University of Hamburg (Alsterterrasse 1). Prof. Felix Steffek will present research on the application of artificial intelligence to law. He will focus on the prediction of court decisions employing different AI models and the extraction of data from court decisions using AI. He will also address the creation of large legal datasets for such research referring to the Cambridge Law Corpus (CLC) by way of example.
