Conference: “Sustainable Development and the Law: Potential and Challenges of Using Behavioural Insights”
8 September 2021, by Internetredaktion
The workshop (which was scheduled to take place at Hamburg University) will take place via Zoom on 23-24 September with morning sessions from 9:50-12:30, and afternoon sessions from 15:50-18:25.
This conference brings together researchers from different disciplines including law, psychology, political science, and economics to explore the potential of using behavioural insights in law- and policy-making to promote sustainable development, as well as how to overcome the challenges associated with it. This conference aims to (1) refine our understanding of human decision-making and its relevance to regulation and governance towards sustainable development, to (2) find ways to overcome the challenges of integrating behavioural insights into regulatory design, and to (3) sketch the future research agenda to integrate behavioural insights into law- and policy-making. As such, this conference builds upon and informs current efforts by governments, the private sector, and, most recently the UN, to apply behavioural insights to regulatory interventions.
We have some wonderful speakers presenting papers on a diverse range of topics.
