The China-EU School of Law prepares students well for life after university. This is suggested by the results of the 2015 graduate survey of the Sino-European law school. All 113 graduates of the class of 2015 found a job in the legal field within three months after graduation or enrolled in further master's or PhD studies. The majority of graduates took up a position in a law firm: 37 percent signed their first contract there. A further 22 per cent started as lawyers in the public sector, 16 per cent in the legal department of a financial or insurance institution, 12 per cent as legal experts in a company, and just under one per cent began in the education sector or as an independent attorney. A further 13 per cent decided to study further or enroll as a PhD candidate.
The China-EU School of Law conducts the survey annually to determine graduates’ employability. In 2015, 106 Chinese and 7 non-Chinese graduates were interviewed. They had either completed the one-year Master's degree in "European and International Law" or the three-year dual master's degree programme, which combines the Master of European and International Law with a Master of Chinese Law.
