China-EU School of Law informs prospective students at Lund University

European law students are showing increasing interest in Chinese law and culture to prepare themselves for their professional future. The China-EU School of Law attracts some of them. Lund University Faculty of Law will help students to learn about Lund’s exchange programmes with China on Wednesday, 20 September 2017, at the “China Information Event” in room Telaris. At 4 p.m., coordinators will present the programmes and students can ask for personal advice. The China-EU School of Law is one focus of the event.
Louise Hultqvist, International Coordinator at the Faculty of Law, will inform about the exchange possibilities with China that students from Lund have. Bengt Lundell, Associate Professor at Lund University and European Co-Dean of the China-EU School of Law, will speak about the importance of legal dialogue with China and the China-EU School of Law’s academic programmes. Malin Späth will share her personal experiences as Lund University alumna and also as a Coordinator at the China-EU School of Law. Moreover, Swedish students who returned from China and Chinese students currently studying in Lund will share their insights. Peter Marthinsson, Academic Advisor for Asian languages, will introduce students interested in learning the Chinese language to the Lund University course options.
Demand for the China-EU School of Law’s programmes has increased in recent years. The law school established itself as one of the most important institutions for joint Chinese-European legal education. More than 160 new students enrolled in the 2017-18 winter semester. Lund University is a strategic partner of the China-EU School of Law since 2008.
