After career stages at the office of the Belgian Prime Minister and as an attorney at the law firm Cleary-Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Brussels, Prof. Bernard Tilleman, Dean of the University of Leuven Law Faculty, will now teach the CISG course in the “European and International Law” master’s programme at the China-EU School of Law. CISG is short for the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and a treaty that is a uniform international sales law.
He completed his own legal at Leuven, Harvard Law School and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. Bernard is an attorney at the New York Bar. Visiting Professorships already led him to the Universities of Lille II in France, Liège in Belgium and Nijmegen in the Netherlands – China, however, is a first to him.
