Ms. Prof. Dr. Olivera Simić,
Professor for public international law at Griffith Law School
will deliver a speech on
"Dayton Peace Agreement After 30 Years"
The event will take place at 4 p.m. in room A125 in the Faculty of Law (Rothenbaumchaussee 33). We would be pleased about your numerous appearances and a lively discussion.
Olivera Simić is a professor at the Griffith Law School. Dr Simić was born in the former Yugoslavia and lived through the Yugoslav Wars (1991-1999). She has published four monographs and eight co-edited collections, as well as numerous book chapters, journal articles, and personal narratives. Her latest book, Lola's War: Rape Without Punishment (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023), was shortlisted for the Australian Legal Research Book Award 2024. Her book Madam War Criminal: Biljana Plavsic, Serbia's Iron Lady was published by Hurst, UK, in October 2025. Dr Simić was a nominee for the Penny Pether Prize for Scholarship in Law, Literature, and the Humanities and won the Peace Women Award from the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF, Australian branch).
