Job vacancy for a Research Associate (#491)
The Institute for Law and Economics (ILE) at the University of Hamburg is seeking to fill the position of Research Associate as of 1 March 2024.
The ILE is one of the leading research centres for the economic analysis of law in Europe. We are looking for a research associate to strengthen our economic research team as part of a research project "Does constitution-making play a role? The economics of the drafting of social contracts" funded by the German Research Foundation in cooperation with the University of Warsaw. The position is ideal for being carried out alongside a PhD project. The project deals with the question of how the rules under which constitutions are written affect their longevity, compliance, legitimacy, etc. from an economic perspective.
The applicant should have very good knowledge of economic and empirical methods (the latter for example in one of the fields of econometrics, natural language processing or experimental methods). A strong interest in research questions in the field of legal economics, institutional economics or political economics is also required. Further information can be found in the call for applications. For further information, please contact Prof Dr Jerg Gutmann by e-mail (jerg.gutmann@uni-hamburg.de). Application deadline is 07.01.2024.
