On September 5, 2022, the new international master's program "European and International Law (MEIL)" started at the Faculty of Law. 60 international students were welcomed in Hamburg, the other 40 were present virtually. This year, due to pandemic-related travel restrictions, the courses will be offered in a hybrid form. The English-language master's program offers in-depth knowledge of European and international law. The courses are offered in cooperation with ten European partners and are taught by professors from these universities. It builds on a long-standing cooperation between these partners within the framework of the China-EU School of Law. Some of the courses are offered together with the master’s program “European and European Legal Studies”. In the summer semester, students can choose between elective courses at the University of Hamburg and the Europa Kolleg as well as the European partner universities. The program is coordinated by Prof. Hinrich Julius.
