Institute of Maritime Law and International Law of the Sea

The Institute of Maritime Law and International Law of the Sea is an institution of the Faculty of Law of the University of Hamburg. It was founded in 1982 with the aim of strengthening academic research and teaching in the field of maritime legal matters. It thus continues the tradition of the Faculty of Law, which has existed since the University was founded in 1919, in a more visible institution.
