DFG Research Group 'Reconfiguring Europe'

Professor Wendel is a member of the interdisciplinary DFG research group Reconfiguring Europe.

Within the group, he leads the project "Gerichte als ebenenübergreifende Hüter von Werten – Zum Einfluss judikativer Kontrolle auf das kompetenzielle Gleichgewicht in der EU". The project focuses on the impact of multi-level judicial review on the horizontal separation of powers between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches at the respective other (European or national) level.
