Research
I specialize in the interdisciplinary fields of economics, law, and political science. My research primarily involves analyzing observational, experimental, and survey data, while I also occasionally develop game-theoretical models.

Teaching
Since March 2019, I am the coordinator of the specialization in law & economics (SPB VI) at the University of Hamburg's law school.
- At the law school, I teach the “Introduction to Microeconomics” within the specialization in law & economics and the "Introduction to Statistics" in the general curriculum.
- In the European Master of Law & Economics (EMLE), I teach the “Introduction to Microeconomics”.
- I also teach varying courses in the Master in Law & Economics of the Arab Region (MLEA).

Transfer
My main knowledge transfer activities involve policy advice regarding measurement and empirical analysis in my areas of research.
I have advised the Access to Sustainable Energy Programme (ASEP) of the European Union and the Philippine Department of Energy on the statistical impact evaluation of newly installed solar home systems in the rural Philippines. This involved data collection of pre- and post-treatment samples and the analysis of collected survey data.
Starting in July 2021, I am participating in a task force on corruption measurement created by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to provide technical advice for a manual on corruption surveys.
