Prof. Dörte Poelzig has been appointed as Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute, a renowned international network of financial and legal academics from around the world.
The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) is a global research network and a non-profit international academic association that provides a forum for discussion and dialogue on key corporate governance issues and promotes best practice. It is the home for all those interested in corporate governance. It offers membership categories for academics, practitioners, sponsors and institutions.
Its primary role is to conduct, commission and disseminate research on corporate governance. Based on impartial and objective research and the collective knowledge and experience of its members, it can advise on the formulation of corporate governance policies and the development of best practice. To achieve the goal of improving corporate governance, the ECGI acts as a focal point for academics working on corporate governance in Europe and beyond, and promotes interaction between different disciplines such as economics, law, finance and management.
