NAIL - Open Ceremony

In collaboration with the newly established Hamburg Network for Artificial Intelligence & Law (NAIL), the LFT programme launched a new series of academic events, i.e. the NAIL Research Seminars.

The NAIL inaugurational event tool place at the Bucerius Law School on 25 October, 2021. After welcoming addresses by Prof. Dr. Dr. H.C. Mult. Katharina Boele-Woelki, Prof. Dr. Wolf-Georg Ringe and Prof. Dr. Christoph Kumpan we had the great pleasure of listening to Ms Irina Orssich’s keynote speech. 

Ms Orssich is the head of the sector “AI Policy” at the European Commission and gave an insightful presentation on the European Commission’s proposed AI Act. This was followed by a comment from Dr. Wolfgang Hildesheim, Head of Watson und Director of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IBM DACH.
