The University of Chicago Press has just published a new book on The Economics of Artificial Intelligence. Edited by professors Away Agrawal, Joshua Gans, and Avi Goldfarb, the publication has contributions from several scholars, among them, Daron Acemoglu, Philippe Aghion, Susan Athey, Tyler Cowen, Judith Chevalier, Jeffrey Sachs, Joseph Stiglitz, and Catherine Tucker.
The book deals with several topics in which artificial intelligence has a significant impact, from economic methodologies, decision-making, market design, behavioural economics, to themes related to innovation, productivity and growth, as well as more legal issues such as privacy and liability. It is a publication that may well be an introductory material to the advancements of this technology and economic and social potentials, but also the surrounding legal issues of AI and Machine Learning.
