Enrollment information

After being nominated to Hamburg by your home university, you will receive an initial email with all relevant information.

In order to enroll, you must register online. Please create an applicant account in STiNE and then follow these steps.

The online portal is open:

• from 1 June to 15 July for winter semester students or students for the entire academic year and
• from 1 December to 15 January for summer semester students.

You must print and sign the form and then send it in together with a copy of your European insurance card (EHIC). You can either send it per mail to:

Costs:  For exchange students, your current semester contribution is €278 per semester.

Accommodation: The first email you receive will also contain an application for a dorm room. Please fill it out as quickly as possible and send it back via email by 15 May (for the winter semester or the entire academic year) or 15 November (for the summer semester). Term of lease for the winter semester: 1 October–31 March; for the summer semester: 1 April–31 July; for the entire academic year: 1 October–31 July. Unfortunately, the number of dorm rooms available is very limited. We therefore recommend looking for accommodation on the private market (in German only).
