New Approaches to Private Law and Legal Reasoning
'New Approaches to Private Law and Legal Reasoning' is an interdisciplinary research field investigated at the Chair for Global Legal History, Private Law, and Computational Legal Theory at the University of Hamburg.
On the basis of legal dogmatics, legal history, comparative law and legal logic, the foundations of private law and legal reasoning in Civil and Common Law are analyzed. To this end, annual conferences are held jointly with Harvard Law School. For more information: Harvard-Hamburg Conferences.
The research is directed by Prof. Dr. Matthias Armgardt (University of Hamburg) together with Prof. Dr. Scott Brewer (Harvard Law School) and Prof. Dr. Henry Smith (Harvard Law School).
