Foundations of Law
Foundations of Law
Foundations of law refer to the social, historical, theoretical and empirical basis of law as well as to it´s relation to other academic disciplines. Other disciplines which are worth looking at an can be inspiring are not only historical and political sciences but also philosophy, sociology, linguistics or literary studies. Adequate legal solutions depend on law´s appropriate perception and comprehension of it´s social environment. Hence, the jurisprudence must take up the findings of other disciplines and contribute to interdisciplinary insights.
The research on the foundations of law is one of the faculty´s research priorities.
